Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium) is a charming and understated Florida native wildflower that brings delicate color and fine texture to sunny gardens. Despite its common name, blue-eyed grass is not a true grass at all. It belongs to the iris family and produces small, star-shaped flowers that hover just above its slender, grass-like leaves. In spring and early summer, blue-eyed grass produces a steady display of small, violet-blue flowers with bright yellow centers.
